Fierce competitors S02

In the second season of Fierce Competitors, we follow the lives of six elite young athletes with an Olympic dream: Nina Derwael (gymnastics, 21 years old), Jolien Corteyn (fencing, 19 years old), Laurens Devos (table tennis and Paralympian, 20 years old), Jef Vandorpe (wheelchair tennis and Paralympian, 19 years old), Fleur Vermeiren (swimming, 18 years old), and Fabio Van den Bossche (track cycling, 20 years old).

To make their dream come true, these young athletes lead extraordinary lives. Over the course of two years, we follow their journeys through training and competitions, both at home and abroad. What does life as a top athlete look like? How do they cope with victories and defeats? How do they balance their sport with school and friendships? How did they handle the COVID-19 crisis and the one-year postponement of the Olympic Games? And who will claim that long-awaited medal?
